I believe it is now time to announce the new site. Although an official address has yet to be decided, it can now be viewed at http://equinox3.zyns.com/equinox4
Feel free to head over there and give your suggestions.
update 29/7/2008 : Equinox IV can now also be reached via the following URL :
More photos of Xaphyr Alden Azwin bin Shahril Azwin.
Wanted to include photos of his courageous mom, but I would need to respect her request of not doing so since she thinks that she was not in the condition for photographs of her to be publicized. Plus, she was not in her hijab.
Mrs Croven discovers some blood stains on the sheets while I was in the process of building Equinox IV. After calling a few parties to ask what this actually means we decided to wait until the next day to check with our doctor.
Thursday, 17 July 2008 1000hrs:
A visit to the specialist center confirms our suspicion. The dilation had begun at 1cm when we came into the emergency ward according to one of the midwives.
1300hrs:
A later confirmation with our doctor tells us that although the dilation was small, there was a large possibility of birth the following day, so the advice was to get admitted immediately once they could prepare a room. Yes, the hospital was full. So we went back home to relax for a while since we knew that after this relaxation was going to be a luxury. It was basically the last time we could get to do things at our own time. Relaxation was crucial. After lunch we went to my parents place which was closer to the hospital and helped with some doorgift preparation for a coming wedding in the family coming within the next 3 weeks.
1900hrs:
Mrs croven gets a call from the hospital confirming that a twin room was available. We went for dinner at hot soup and bun with my brother and youngest sister.
2000hrs:
We went for another check with our doctor who then tells us that since it was already night time and the dilation is now only 2cm, it would be wiser to come back the next morning since we would still be charged a whole days stay is we were to be admitted on that day.
2200hrs:
We go back to the house and get good sleep knowing that we will not be able to do much of that once all of this is over.
Various things have been happening for the past month. And yes, this site has also been down for quite a while. My apologies for those of you who've been trying to access it.
List of current events:
- I'm currently back in Bukit Mahkota waiting for Baby Croven's Zeroth Birthday. It should be anytime from now.
- Xantheus is also waiting for his kid which is also going to be born anytime soon.
- Kendo's life expired two weeks before the month of July began. We still tend to think of her every now and then. She died of a fever she caught at the vet when we sent her for spaying two weeks before that. Now we have second thoughts about spaying Kirara as well.
- Reason for this site being offline? The equinox server's life also expired shortly before Kendo's death. That's why it took this long for an entry to be written about it. We bought a new Dell XPS in it's place and that is where this site is being hosted now.
- Mrs. Croven is getting restless. Truth be told, so am I. Although we got a lot of things done while waiting for baby croven to be born.
- Plans are underway for "Equinox IV" which will be built using Joomla 1.5 or later. This Equinox III site will still be up though, but would not be updated much once I have Equinox IV significantly functioning.
- I'm tired of doing management work... Need to go back to being "hands-on" before I lose my sanity. I seem to be happiest when I'm tinkering away with technology rather than dealing with(yes, you know what I'm going to say) PEOPLE.
After only a few hours of learning a song(and a few minutes practice just before the show), Loyang joined me as two thirds of the out of touch and out of practice LabAnimals make an appearance at the Bijou Bazaar held at Jeumpa D'ramo, 102 - 104 Jalan Maarof, Bangsar. We basically closed the show. Most people had gone home by the time we started I guess.
Hermie, wish you were there to complete the band. It was good to be jamming again after more than a year of silence. My left fingertips had gone soft again so as most people who play guitar know... I was in pain during the show.
Thanks for the invite, Manda. I know we weren't all that good, but it was fun.
The invite came two weeks earlier, I told Manda(Our Hostess, Organizer and Hotel Owner) that I'd do it if Loyang would get Hermie to come along. Seems like she informed Loyang just before his Flight to Korea and Loyang had agreed and called up Hermie to organize things with no idea that I was actually now working in Penang. Getting no follow up call, I thought the whole thing was cancelled until the day before the show. Which was actually the night I took a flight back to KL for the weekend. So I called up Loyang while in the office- told him to come over to my place the next day for a practice session which turned out to be more of a learning session... (My hats off to you, Loyang- I told you you can do it!) He arrived at 1:30pm, we had lunch and went straight for our guitars... stopped at 4pm as Loyang left the house and at around 6pm, Me and Mrs croven(yes, carrying baby croven in his 8th month) drove out to bangsar to meet up with him and ultimately our old friend Manda with her siblings and hubbies.
Photo courtesy of mrs. croven and baby croven(He was good enough to stop dancing and kicking for a while in mrs. croven's tummy for mrs. croven to get a good unblurry shot). Whom I both have to thank for simply being there.
Manda, if we're invited again- I'm bringing a bigger group with me to cover my mistakes. heh heh.
I just had to put these up. Here's Kirara with her favourite toy, Tigger. When we go downstairs, she'll go back upstairs and carry tigger downstairs. When we go upstairs, she takes Tigger up to the bed. Sometimes, when we ask "Kirara- where's tigger?"- She goes and find the thing and brings it over... (ever heard of a cat playing fetch?).
Again, I'm putting up another post on how I deal with middle class beggars. What I mean by middle class beggars are simply people who beg to try to sell things to you. And some of you out there who've been visiting this site regularly know what type pisses me off the most. The type who can obtain your phone number from sources they will not identify- the beggars who call themselves, telemarketers.
30 Weeks. Baby Croven seems to be doing okay. Everything is normal, except for the fact that he's bigger than expected. less than 10 more weeks to go until he experiences the world outside. With me traveling up and down the peninsular every week, those 10 weeks are going to pass in a blink. It didn't feel that long for him to get to this stage.
His new estimated due date is the 11th of July. This is about a week earlier than the previous due date of the 23rd of July.
What happens after this then? Well, I would have to thank my managers and ultimately my employers that I would be able to work from home for the whole month of July. Most of my work requires being in conference calls anyway. So it really doesn't make much of a difference where I work from. Then back to weekly trips home until mrs croven and baby croven joins me in penang in October. Click on the image for a larger version. Yes, it's been a long while since my last update. Here i am lying down after a night conference call with the Team from Schaumburg and Chengdu to review a document. It's been one of those days when things just don't seem to be working out right.
Yesterday, i spent the whole day preparing for my presentation today. I tried to make sure I had everything covered in case i was asked anything detail. So it was a whole day of hounding after people and getting the right information... that was yesterday.
